Innovative 3-in-1 Puzzles concept including clues in pictures and Poems, for accelerating cognitive improvements.

These books, " KeeYa and KeeYu Visit Earth Vol.1" and "KeeYa and KeeYu Visit Earth Vol.2" help optimize cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention span, patience, reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving, in school-going children (8+) as well as in adults ages 50+.

Introduction

Keeya and Keeyu, the twins from a faraway galaxy, find Earth full of amazing living and nonliving things, with so many exciting facts about them. They want to surprise and share their findings with their friends back home in their galaxy, and also want to share with the people of Earth, the Earthlings. They want to challenge Earthlings to see if they knew so many interesting facts about those living and nonliving things on their own Earth, and therefore decide to share their findings with them as a puzzle book with picture clues and poem clues.

But the main purpose of Keeya & Keeyu for making this a puzzle book for Earthlings is something far more serious, as explained below:

Purpose of The Book

Keeya and Keeyu learn that Earthlings' brains are complex parts of their bodies. They are home to their core cognitive skills, such as thinking, learning, reading, memory, attention, logic, reasoning, mobility, behavior, etc.

These cognitive skills peak when Earthlings are around 18 to 20 years old, subtly start declining by 50, and are noticeably low by 65. From this age onwards, they can affect the quality of their lives.

Occasionally, these cognitive skills decline further to a level resulting in Alzheimer’s or dementia, at which stage Earthlings cannot function without help.

This Age-Associated Cognitive Decline (AACD) is what adults fear the most.

Keeya & Keeyu, who were sad to learn about AACD, got relieved to discover that external stimulating activities can rewire and develop Earthlings' brains through neuroplasticity, and can help before it becomes a serious issue. Some of those activities are:

  • Solving puzzles

  • Writing and reading poems

  • Drawing and painting

  • Reading and math.

  • Learning a new language / new instruments, etc.

Keeya and Keeyu then combined three of the above external stimulating techniques—puzzles, Pictures, and poems—to share their findings in a puzzle book with picture clues and poem clues for earthlings.

They hope this book can specifically benefit:

  • Children ages 6-18 in optimizing their overall cognitive skills like memory, focus, and attention, and

  • Adults age 50 and above for improving their cognitive skills and memory through neuroplasticity, reducing their risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

How to Use This Book

Since mental engagement stimulates various cognitive functions, regularly challenging the brain by solving puzzles and learning new activities can help maintain and enhance cognitive skills and improve and strengthen the brain’s memory system.

These activities can benefit both short-term memory (remembering recent information) and long-term memory (retaining information over a more extended period).

The three significant classifications of memory are as follows:

  1. Sensory memory,

  2. Working (short-term) memory, and

  3. Long-term memory.

ree

Three essential steps for lasting long-term memory and easy recall (retrieval):

  1. Attention: To transfer information from sensory memory to working memory.

  1. Encoded Transfer: Encoding occurs when we pay attention to information received from the working memory to enable easy transfer of that information to long-term memory storage. During this encoding process, our brain organizes and structures the information to make it easier for us to recall and remember.

For example, if you are trying to remember a list of groceries, you must pay attention to the items (visual or word) on the list to encode them into your long-term memory.

  1. Retrieval:  Retrieval cues help people retrieve memories, such as sounds, smells, sights, images, etc. Repeated recall of memory is the best way to make retrieval easy and eventually without cues.

Testing your memory

The book's last page contains one-line quizzes on these puzzles as a TEST.

Repeated testing can ensure that you can answer all the quizzes easily and that the rewiring of your brain is helping improve cognitive skills and memory through neuroplasticity, boosting your confidence and self-esteem.

Enjoy the book, and thank Keeya & Keeyu.
